Cover reveal! Dijo – the new cookbook by Lesego Semenya
Jacana Media has shared the cover for Lesego Semenya’s new cookbook Dijo!
Dijo offers a twist on township favourites with the incorporation of French-inspired, fine-dining techniques.
Semenya’s motto is ‘Taking the Snobbery Out of Food’.
Lesego Semenya is a chef and entrepreneur, and one of the judges on the SABC3 reality television series Top Chef South Africa.
Born and raised in Soweto, Semenya left the corporate world after five years and after a time overseas he enrolled at the Prue Leith Chef’s Academy in Centurion, from where he qualified with a Grande Diploma in Food and Wine and five other international diplomas in wine and patisserie.
Semenya has gone on to work as a personal chef for a renowned family in Irene, catered to Howard Buffett (Warren Buffett’s son) annually, catered to The British High Commission as well as Liverpool FC. He has also catered to numerous South African celebrities as well as renowned international celebrities.
