The #ReadToDream campaign presents LAPA Uitgewers and its extraordinary collection of titles for young readers
LAPA Uitgewers is proud to be associated with the #READTODREAM campaign, an initiative by the Otto Foundation to reimagine the planned District Six Children’s Book Festival.
The Foundation recently posted a tribute to LAPA Uitgewers on its Facebook page:
Local publisher LAPA Uitgewers (now a division of Penguin Random House SA) has an extraordinary collection of titles for young readers. They have a wide range of Afrikaans books but are also publishing popular titles in English and other local languages.
LAPA also publishes fantastic chapter books for preteens – an age group for which it is often really hard to find suitable books.
Visit the LAPA website to see the free education resources they have made available during the Covid-19 lockdown, or to stock up on their wide selection of local ebooks.
Check out the #READTODREAM campaign on Facebook for beautiful stories and book readings by famous South Africans such as Sindiwe Magona, Soli Philander, Rob van Vuuren and more.
The theme music is written and performed by Penguin Random House SA author Wilken Calitz. His recently published book Swart Swaan is now available and can also be purchased as an ebook on Amazon.
