Capetonians! Don’t want to leave the house? Get The Book Lounge to come to you!

Your friendly neighbourhood bookshop, The Book Lounge, is ready and waiting for your order!

Cape Town’s favourite independent bookshop The Book Lounge is offering a free delivery service on orders over R300 to areas within a 20km radius.

(In Joburg? Click here for info about Love Books’s delivery service.)

In light of the coronavirus pandemic, South African publishers have decided to postpone or cancel all upcoming book launch events until further notice.

Small businesses will need our support during this time, and what better way to keep yourself occupied at home than a good book!

If you would still like to make use of the delivery service but are further away or don’t meet the minimum order amount, let The Book Lounge know – they can deliver for a small fee.

The Book Lounge staff are eager to please:

Nothing replaces browsing the shelves of a bookstore, but if you send us an email with the title or author of the last two books you really enjoyed, we will happily recommend books we believe will be great next stops on your personal reading journey.

  • To place an order or get book recommendations, email The Book Lounge on booklounge@gmail.com
