Jane Green, author of Falling, Saving Grace and most recently The Sunshine Sisters, shares her tips for writers.

1. Write. I meet a lot of people who want to write, who talk about writing, who think about writing or who are paying money to do writers workshops, and what they are not doing is writing. Writing is a muscle, it needs to be exercised every day.

2. Writing is a discipline. What makes me a writer is that even when I’m not inspired, I write anyway. Writing is a discipline, it is a job. Treat it seriously.

3. The truth is in the action. Start with writing and if you can write every day.
