There Goes English Teacher: Forthcoming memoir from Modjaji Books launching twice in Cape Town
 More about the book!

Searingly honest, heartachingly funny and deeply sad, Karin Cronje’s powerful memoir There Goes English Teacher spans three years of adventures and misadventures as an English teacher in a small Korean village and later at a university.

This is an unusually honest memoir with strong reflective passages on, among other themes, the nature of identity and the loss of it, sexuality, belief, ageing, displacement and nationhood.

There Goes English Teacher launches in Cape Town at The Book Lounge on 16 October at 17:30, where Karin will be in conversation with Nancy Richards, and at Kalk Bay Books on 18 October at 17:30.

Leopard’s Leap wine and light refreshments will be served, and Karin will be available to sign copies of the book.
