Penguin Random House South Africa acquires acclaimed and bestselling children’s book publisher Little Tiger

Penguin Random House SA has announced it will be taking over the distribution of Little Tiger Group titles in South Africa, effective 1 January 2020.

This follows the acquisition of Little Tiger Group by Penguin Random House US earlier this year. PRH SA will carry a good representation of bestselling Little Tiger Group titles, in stock at Booksite Afrika.

The Little Tiger Group is a creatively led independent publisher comprised of four imprints, each with its own distinct approach to creating engaging and inspiring books for children and young people. Together, their mission is to create a diverse range of high-quality books, with something that will appeal to every reading taste, helping children develop a passion for books and a lifelong love of reading.

As a leading publisher in South Africa, Penguin Random House is dedicated to connecting its authors and their writing with readers everywhere, and will be building on the success of Little Tiger in South Africa with the support of a dedicated children’s team with years of experience in the industry.

Steve Connolly, PRHSA MD says: ‘Little Tiger is a leader in children’s publishing world wide, which is evident in their sales and reputation. We are very excited to be distributing such a diverse range of books, and to expand the readership of these books in South Africa.’

Nik Bhatia, Business Development Director, Little Tiger Group, says: ‘We are delighted to be extending our PRH partnerships internationally, and now with the PRH South Africa team – true leaders and experts in their market.
