Penguin Random House has shared a video of author Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah introducing his new book Chain-Gang All-Stars!

Chain-Gang All-Stars is the story of two top women gladiators fighting for their freedom within a depraved private prison system not so far-removed from America’s own.

This is the hotly anticipated debut novel from the New York Times bestselling author of the short story collection Friday Black.

Adjei-Brenyah says:

‘It’s about abolition, it’s about the ways we shape our culture around culturality and incarceration, and I think it’s about what it means to be free.’
