First look at Knucklebone, the debut novel from Nechama Brodie

Nechama Brodie’s debut novel Knucklebone will be published by Pan Macmillan in February!

The book comes recommended by Sarah Lotz, author of The Three, Day Four and The White Road, who says: ‘A cracking novel. Brilliant original writing. The pace is insane – in a good way.’

Set in Johannesburg, Knucklebone is a crime story that involves sangomas, disillusioned cops and animal poaching.

Brodie is a veteran journalist, best-selling author and part-time musician. Her work has appeared in the Sunday Times, Mail & Guardian, City Press, the Business Day magazine, Wanted, and Men’s Health where she writes extensively about health, wellness and nutrition. She is a recreational runner, occasional boxer and holds a black belt in Karate.

Brodie is the co-author of a number of books on non-fiction including The Joburg Book, I Ran For My Life and Rule of Law.
