Angela Makholwa joined Masechaba Mtolo in the SABC 2 studio to chat about her new book, The Blessed Girl.

The Blessed Girl is the story of Bontle Tau, an absolutely gorgeous, 20-something blessee who has used her good looks and winning charm all her life to get exactly what she wants.

But, as Makholwa explains, Bontle’s life is not all fun and games.

‘This book may seem to be fun,’ she says, ‘but it’s not really all about fun because it talks about the truths of life.

‘The book is balanced because it shows the fun life that she claims to live, which you see her live out, but it also shows that amid that fun time, there is a person hurting.’
