Zakes Mda’s message for Africa Month
The theme for Africa Month this year is ‘The Year of OR Tambo: Building a Better Africa and a Better World’.
Africa Month is organised by the Department of Arts and Culture, leading up to Africa Day on 25 May.
Novelist, poet and playwright Zakes Mda says:
Unity across Africa is crucial for our survival because as Africans in Africa and the African diaspora we share a common history, a common interest and a common destiny.
