Karen Dudley has been forced to close down her famous Woodstock restaurant, The Kitchen.
To support her and the restaurant staff, Jacana Media have announced they will donate all proceeds from the sales of Dudley’s cookbook Set a Table during June and July 2020 to The Kitchen team.

We are reeling at the news that The Kitchen, the magical epicentre of deliciousness in Woodstock that has catered to so many appetites – both foodie ones and social ones – is closing their doors.
The impact of Covid-19 and the consequent lockdown has made it unsustainable for Karen Dudley and her team to carry on.
They leave behind a phenomenal legacy, one that’ll be savoured forever.
For now, though, they could do with our help – large or small – to support The Kitchen team while they individually navigate their new futures.
And so Jacana Media, who have had the privilege of publishing all three of Karen Dudley’s books, will donate the proceeds of any copies sold of Set a Table during June and July to The Kitchen team. We are offering a special price of R200 and free delivery to any address within South Africa.
