Jacana Media and Book Circle Capital invite you to the launch of In the Company of Men by Ivorian author Véronique Tadjo!

Tadjo was awarded the LA Times Fiction Award for In the Company of Men, an award ‘dedicated to discovering new voices and celebrating the highest quality of writing across the spectrum of book publishing’.

Drawing on real accounts of the Ebola outbreak that devastated West Africa, this poignant and, given the pandemic, timely fable reflects on both the strength and the fragility of life and humanity’s place in the world.

Judges called it ‘unlike anything we’ve ever read … gripping and prescient’.

Tadjo will be in conversation with Michelle Constant, radio presenter, journalist, creative industries consultant and recipient of the French government’s Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres award.
