The dates and participants for the 2017 Kimberley Book Fair have been announced.

The second annual Kimberley Book Fair, hosted by the Earth Art Writers’ Guild, will take place from 21 to 24 September, at the same time as international Banned Books Week, with the theme ‘Celebrating Suppressed Voices’.

The keynote speaker and featured guest will be Fijian-born poet and musician, Daren Kamali, who is based in New Zealand.

More than 40 other local and international participants will be at the fair, including Rose Francis, Philippa de Villiers, Mphutlane Bofelo and poets such as Mogale Sedibe, Nosipho Mtabane, Katlego Blaq Mpotsang, Kevin Mpotsang, Ricci Groenewald and Dina Christiaans.
