Anjawo, the illicit brew vendor, her family, the entire Nyakonja village are involved in an endless tussle, bickering over who deserves disciplinary action but ends up in frustrations.

The blame-game continues from the family level stretching out to the village and higher to authority figures in the ruling government involved in corrupt deals and abuse of power. The taint of corruption and messes that adhere to the regime unites them to together as birds of a feather. Must learn to embrace and support each other.
