John Boyne has recorded a short video message for his South African fans about his new book, My Brother’s Name is Jessica.

Boyne is perhaps best known for his 2006 multi-award-winning book The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. His other novels, including among others The Absolutist, A History of Loneliness and The Heart’s Invisible Furies, have been widely praised and are international bestsellers.

About the book

Sam Waver’s life has always been pretty quiet. A bit of a loner, he struggles to make friends, and his busy parents often make him feel invisible.
