More about the book!
Being a Black Springbok: The Thando Manana Story, written by Sibusiso Mjikeliso, was launched in Port Elizabeth recently with Robert Marawa.
Manana was the third black African player to pull on a Springbok jersey after unification in 1992, and made his debut in 2000 in a tour game against Argentina A. He only started playing the game at 16.
Being a Black Springbok tells the story of Manana’s unpredictable and unusual route to the top of the game.
