Bontle Senne chatted to Beautiful News about her new Shadow Chasers series of books.

The books are set in Johannesburg and tell the story of a young black girl and boy who travel through a magical world in search of their family history.

The first two of the trilogy have already been released.

“I like the idea of a black girl also kicking butt and breaking down the gender stereotype,” she says.
