Kopano Matlwa’s latest novel Period Pain will be published soon in Poland.

Matlwa stole South Africa’s heart with her debut novel Coconut back in 2007, an award-winning book that cemented her position as one of our bestselling authors.

With her follow-up novel, Spilt Milk, Kopano continued to amaze us with her ability to intimately address complex political issues through relatable characters.

Last year she brought Period Pain, a story about how the broken continue to survive. The book was recently longlisted for a Humanities and Social Sciences Award.

Period Pain was published in the United Kingdom as Evening Primrose, and reviewed in the prestigious Times Literary Supplement.
