Creative Writing Masterclass

The Abantu Book Festival invites aspiring writers to submit 500-2000 word samples of their short stories, novels, creative non-fiction or plays to qualify for a Creative Writing Masterclass with award-winning authors Nthikeng Mohlele and Zukiswa Wanner.

Email your submission to molweni@abantubookfestival.co.za no later than 10 November 2017.

Festival information

The second annual Abantu Book Festival will take place from 7-10 December 2017 in Soweto.

The impressive guest list includes Zakes Mda, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Zubeida Jaffer, Gcina Mhlope, Grace Musila, Kopano Matlwa, Ayobami Adebayo, Keorapetse Kgositsile, Mandla Langa, Shubnum Khan, Sisonke Msimang, Zethu Matebeni, Redi Tlhabi, Pumla Dineo Gqola, and many others.

The full programme will be available in November.
