Kopano Matlwa has been featured on Face to Face with Success with Nikiwe Bikitsha, a new series of short motivational interviews with interesting South Africans.
Matlwa was just 21 when she wrote her first novel, while studying towards a medical degree at UCT. The bestselling and critically acclaimed Coconut is a coming-of-age story set in post-apartheid South Africa, which tackles the delicate issues of identity politics.
Her third novel, Period Pain, was published by Jacana Media in November 2016, and was shortlisted for the Sunday Times Barry Ronge Fiction Prize.
