Partnership between Jacana Media and Fourthwall Books strengthens local publishing

Jacana Media is delighted to announce that, of as 1 May 2018, Fourthwall Books is an associate imprint of Jacana Media.

Fourthwall Books’ publishing programme will continue to be managed by founder Bronwyn Law-Viljoen and her co-director Terry Kurgan.

As South Africa’s premier art book imprint, Fourthwall Books will continue to publish visual books that are out of the ordinary, provocative, experimental, well-designed, interesting to read and pleasing to hold and look at.

There are a number of books on the list that have won prestigious awards, namely, Writing the City into Being (winner of the 2010 Jane Jacobs Best Urban Book Award), Firewalker (winner of the 2011 Antalis Book Design Award), Nagmusiek (which won the 2015 Jan Rabie Rapport Prize for Non-Fiction, the 2015 Kyknet Rapport Prize for Fiction and the 2016 Eugene Marais Prize) and Hanging on a Wire (joint winner of the 2018 NIHSS Award for Non-Fiction).
