Author Zinzi Clemmons will be on tour in Johannesburg and Cape Town in May!
Clemmons’s debut novel What We Lose is a short, intense and profoundly moving book about race, identity, sex and death.
Clemmons was raised in Philadelphia by a South African mother and an American father. Her writing has appeared in Zoetrope: All-Story, Transition, The Paris Review Daily, and elsewhere. She is co-founder and former publisher of Apogee Journal, and she is a contributing editor to LitHub. She lives in Los Angeles and teaches at The Colburn Conservatory and Occidental College.
