If you missed Terry Kurgan’s packed book launches in Johannesburg, here’s one more chance to catch her.
Terry will be on a lunchtime panel in conversation with Sarah Nuttall, Pamila Gupta and Hlonipha Mokoena at the Wits Institute of Social and Economic Research (WiSER).

Later in the month, Terry travels to London and New York for two events that should not be missed.
On 20 February 2019, at the Institute for Advanced Studies, University College London, she will be in conversation with curator and academic Tamar Garb and the Polish writer and academic Eva Hoffman.
On 27 February 2019, at the Magnum Foundation in New York, Terry will be in conversation with curator, writer and Columbia doctoral candidate Remi Onabanjo.
Tickets to both events are free but space is limited! Registration is essential.
Terry Kurgan is an artist and writer based in Johannesburg. Her work frequently explores the medium of photography. She has exhibited and published widely in South Africa and internationally, and received numerous grants and awards, including the FNB Vita Art prize and the inaugural Mbokoda Photography award. Her previous Books are Johannesburg Circa Now (co-edited with Jo Ractliffe) and Hotel Yeoville. Everyone is Present is her first work of creative non-fiction. Kurgan is currently a Research Associate at WiSER, where she is at work on her next book project.
