Aspiring writers: Submit your unpublished Youth Fiction to the Maskew Miller Longman Literature Awards to win R10,000

The Maskew Miller Longman Awards has announced its genre for 2018 – Youth Fiction!

Pearson South Africa invites experienced, new and aspiring writers to submit their unpublished and original Youth Fiction for teenagers aged 16 to 18 years.

Youth novels submitted should be between 25,000 and 45,000 words.

Manuscripts submitted can explore the following themes but are not limited to: comedy, romance, fantasy, sport and adventure.

A prize of R10,000 will be awarded to each winner and the winning entries will be considered for publication by Pearson. A prize of R3,500 will be awarded to each finalist.

Closing date for entries is 4 May 2018.
