 More about the book!

In a story for the Sunday Times, top authors picked their best reads of 2017.

Malebo Sephodi, author of Miss Behave, recommended Barbara Boswell’s novel Grace, and Chwayita Ngamlana’s If I Stay Right Here.

She said of the latter:

If I Stay Right Here by Chwayita Ngamlana. This experimental fiction had me crossing legs. Shifting. Crying. Triggered.

In If I Stay Right Here, Shay, a seemingly shy and innocent journalism student, is sent to a female prison to cover a story on an inmate, but falls in love instead. Two months later, Sippy, Shay’s love interest, is out of prison and they move in together.
